As I stand at the precipice of my resurrection, my mind races with anticipation and apprehension. I was about to venture back into the enigmatic realm of Sorg. The uncertainty of my fate weighed heavily on my heart. Yet, despite the trepidation that gripped my soul, I could sense a quiet ember within me that refused to be extinguished. I steeled myself, pushing away the cold, clammy fingers of fear that clawed at the edges of my consciousness. It was time to make a choice.
Story
"Alright then!" I said, studying the classes available to me. Each one held the potential to completely change the way I saw this world. It was a daunting decision to make. I had always been a strategic player, carefully weighing my options before making any move. This choice, however, felt much more significant than any game I had played before. It wasn't just about winning or losing; it was about my life now.
I glanced at the Guardian, considering my options. I was always the kind of player who liked to outlast my opponents, relying on my high health or stamina to survive long enough to seize the advantage. But, which class would give me the best chance of success? The Caller and Manipulator both had their benefits. With the Caller, I could sit back and watch my dark summons do my bidding. The Manipulator was pure power, but lacked self-sustain or protection. A lucky shot could be the end of me.
As I thought about my choices, I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed. I had never been good at making decisions under pressure, and this was the ultimate test. The fate of my new life rested on this one choice.
"Can I test out the class options?" I asked Wiktor, hoping for some way to alleviate the pressure.
"No, but the class you choose doesn't limit you to a specific path," he replied.
His words were a small comfort, but the weight of the decision still bore down on me heavily. I was surprised when he told me I could"No, but the class you choose doesn't limit you to a specific path," he replied.
I was surprised and disappointed. Disappointed I couldn't test any of them. But his words were a suprising comfort, I could work towards another class. The idea was almost too good to be true. It gave me a glimmer of hope that maybe this wasn't such a permanent decision after all.
"Think of them like a circle or a ring, and your choices as branches on that tree. Each choice you make can make it harder to reach a branch on the opposite side of the circle or in a different Hore."
I interrupted him. "So it's like a talent or skill tree?”
"Exactly like that," he confirmed.
I considered my options again. Neither the Caller nor the Manipulator had a heal or a way to mitigate damage. The Collector caught my eye. "Harnessing the power of another's soul, huh?” I mused aloud.
The utility of the Collectar was undeniable. It offered healing and boosts to my offense and defense, but classes like this always felt fiddly to me. Despite that, it seemed like the most practical choice. It's not like I wanted to die again anytime soon, immortal or not.
"I've made my decision," I declared. I'll master the Tsafar Collector."
Wiktor's face appeared once again. "The Tsafar Collector, a beautiful choice. It's a class in the Helix circle. Not many have been able to round out their circles to rise to such a Class Rank.”
Before I could ask him anything else, Wiktor began to fade away.

Soul Tether
The first sensations I felt after ressurection were
I burst from the burial salts, gasping for air. My eyes fell upon two slender beasts before me, the Qatirah, their metallic scales shimmering in the dimlight. A flickering purple flame hovered between them, pulsating with an eerie energy. Was it a soul? wondered, a chill running down my spine.
The first Qatirah sensed my presence and lunged at me. Instinctively, I rolled out of the burial bed, narrowly escaping its razor-sharp talons. As I called upon my newfound Tsafar abilities, I fired off a Soul Plumbata. The projectile soared through the air but missed its target. need to focus," thought, frustration bubbling inside me. Seizing the opportunity, the second Qatirah pounced on me, entangling me with its sinuous tails.
In that dire moment, I summoned my Soul Tether ability, ensnaring the attacking Qatirah as it tightened its grip on me. The powerful reflective properties of the Soul Tether took effect, and the beast shrieked in agony before collapsing lifeless to the ground. The first Qatirah, now wary, began to circle me, looking for an opening to attack. "Stay calm," I told myself, trying to suppress the panic rising in my chest.
I seized the chance to circle back to the purple flame, the newly dead soul. As I absorbed its essence, I felt a surge of power. With renewed confidence, I fired another Soul Plumbata, striking the circling Qatirah square in the head, but to my surprise, it seemed unfazed. "Why didn't that work?" I questioned, my heart racing. It now saw me as less of a threat and lunged at me, its claws slashing across my chest. The pain was searing, nearly bringing me to my knees.
Realizing my inexperience with these newfound abilities, I decided to retreat. "I can't face this thing alone," I thought, my body trembling with fear. I activated my Soul Infusion ability, feeling a surge of speed course through me. I sprinted away from the menacing Qatirah, its snarls fading into the distance. To my relief, it did not follow, and I found myself alone in the darkness, the echo of my pounding heart the only sound accompanying me. "I need to learn how to use these powers," I resolved, "and figure out where the hell I am.” I thought as I took in the ramifications of the HUD notification before me.
